What you imagine you create...

Dear Blog Friends... Another winter week has passed and it feels so good to be back blogging again. This last week we have had an amazing winter landscape in Sweden and as the thoughts travel as long as one can see I always begin my days by contemplating our beautiful nature ... Breathing in and breathing out never forgetting the wisdom words of Buddah... What you think, you become... What you feel, you attract... What you imagine, you create...
With these words of wisdom , almost like a mantra ,I like to begin my days of work at home... As I am always working on different projects , I know that it is really important to dedicate at least one whole day at just one thing... but that is impossible for me... It is almost like I have different working stations in my atelier and all around our home by the way. This is the way I am most productive and I always clear my mind by contemplating the sea... A little pause of contemplation and back again to what I love the most in life ( beside from my family) Creating....
I don´t know how much tea I drink a day .., but tea is something I like and need to buy a loooot of ... Green tea is becoming one of my favourites and of course always Kusmi tea , it is simply the best , a part from the design they have for every tea variety , it is so lovely and inspiring to look at for me...
Today I took the one of the last brushstrokes of my new painting , it now only needs my signature that I will paint on tomorrow and then dry a little bit before the trip to my boutique ... It is a painting I am very happy with as I think it is exactly what I imagined and then created... :-)
I am especially satisfied with the colours of the leaves... Shades of green and turquoise... Turquoise is also a colour that dominates my shops window display this week ... Turquoise and chocolate brown...
I love the combination of these two colours, they are a perfect match... The shop has also some new arrivals this week ...
New crocheted bags in lovely colours... The turquoise and the beige went up to the front row to match the outfits of the mannequins... I wish you all a happy continuation of this week with the words of wonderful Oscar Wilde... "To Live is the rarest thing in the world... Most people just exist... " So Liiiiiiiiiveeeee <3 Andrea Labbé Designer

As Winterdays go by ...

Dear Blog Friends... We are now finally having some real winter in Sweden . Snow and degrees below zero almost every day... For me it is the time of the year when I try not to think about the New Spring Collection ahead , I to try to make all of those things that you have longed for during the intense work of the season but not have had the time to do... Do I succeed ? Of course not !!! My work and Creativity is always with me and that is why I call it a work of 365 days a year... But it is a more relaxed time for me as I spend much more time at my studio at home and only open my shop twice a week...
This time of the year and always my knitting is with me everywhere I go , it is also my great passion , I have been knitting since I was 9 years old ( taught by my Dear grandmother Maria )... And when I start a project it is impossible to stop... Usually I have 3 or 4 knitting projects at the same time...Right now the one that takes the most time of my hours a day is the one that I am creating for Valentines Day... As I wrote before it is important for me to always create something special for all the special dates of the year....I don't know why, but I love it...Keeps my fingers working 24/7 Here a picture of one of those special occasion knits... created for New years eve 2017...
Mohair and silk satin details in lovely shades of offwhite...
As My Dear little shop is Only open 2 days a week , on fridays and saturdays I get to spend a lot of time with family and friends and at home I am surrounded by fireplaces , the nature, yarns , fabrics , oilpaintings , ceramics and my plants ...My home is my sanctuary , how cheesy it may sound... I often whisper to my self , Dear wonderful life... Dear wonderful life... Yes I am thankful for being able to work with my passion and blessed with all my wonderful clients that follow my work unconditionally year after year... January ... I think this is a very good month to reflect on the things that really matter in life and try not to put so much difficulties in it ... We all have a long year ahead and so let us try and do what makes our hearts happy... Work we must all do but if we try to every day find something new to learn about , something that surprises us ,make something creative such as painting , writing etc ... I know that this gives us a happier life , don´t you think ? Happy January and Year to all ..<3

A New Year , filled with so much inspiration...

Dear Friends ! Happy 2018 to All !!! I know that I have not been the best at writing but guess what ?!? I made a New Years resolution and that is to keep you updated with my work at least 4 times a month and I hope that you will enjoy reading it as much I as enjoy writing it... Last season and the continuation of it has been and is so entertaining to work with and the ideas never seem to stop ... One could easily think that, working season by season for more than 10 years of production , that inspiration could somehow cease but in my case it increases , may sound crazy but it is true. One thing that has come to be very tempting is to work one year ahead with my collections as most designers do but then again I would not be able to and be so " inside" my work as when the actual season is running... So finally I decide to continue working season by season in the present time and that finally is how I also want to live my life , with mindfullness and present in the moment that we live....
Meet Vilma... Vilma is my New model and will be helping me and the rest of my wonderful crew with new pictures ... Morine that has been my model during my whole carreer is taking a short brake for at least 9 months...
Vilma is wearing a cardigan that I designed for this years New years eve... I love to make special outfits for all the important celebrations of the year.... This New years outfits ( there are two ) were designed and produced in Sweden as always keeping the importance of sustainability very alive.... More pictures coming soon...
So Now My New years resolution is being fulfilled... Thank you all for reading... Kindly / Andrea Labbé
