Happy Birthday Dear Little Shop of Mine ...

Dear Friends! May is already here and with it so many things that happen together this time of the year... It can sometimes feel a little exhausting to have to attend to everything that life this time of year offers... Days are brighter and the spirit to do joyful things increases for all of us in Scandinavia. It is like we have been in hibernation , we all bloom up like exotic wonderful plants reaching out for sun and warmth...
I do not know about you but I sometimes long for the rain and grey days in the summer , I mean a really rainy day that obliges you to stay at home and light a fire.... In the summertime I can really long for that feeling....
The past week it was time to present some of this  spring and summers blouses... The first one out was the Consuelo Blouse...
The consuelo blouse is available in 3 different fabrics, this white and blue is sold out but it is still available in a red wonderful viscose fabric....
And in a black silk shiffon fabric with purple flowers...
I worked with a double flounce on the arm inspired by the many lovely flamenco dresses I get to see when I am in Spain... I think that you can find a lot from Spain in my designs as for me it is the Country where I love to be during our vacations ... Everything about Spain is inspiring... The food , the sun , the people , the colors , flamenco and of course all wonderful nature with flowers I could only dream of having here in my home in Sweden...
The second Blouse I presented in my shop this week was the Lily Rose tied blouse...

A blouse so feminine and preppy. I worked with two different fabrics in this blouse , both silk shiffon with satin details...
The black with the lovliest pattern of creme roses and the second one in purple with a crazy pattern with roses and all the colors that you can imagine...

Both blouses easy to dress up or down with skirts or trousers...
And finally the last blouse that arrived in the little boutique this week was the Thea Fleur Blouse...
A blouse available in two fabrics... The first one in a silk shiffon fabric with a pattern that reminds me of a painting... Take a closer look to the crazy arms... wide and full of flounces. The style of this blouse is also easy to dress up or down. Vilma ( my super model ) is wearing the blouse with a pair of jeans , add high heels and Cocktails here I come... :-)
I had the pleasure as always to spend time and get to know new customers this week. I am already looking forward to what this week has to offer in all kinds of ways that has to do with my work...
Here some pictures from happy moments in the boutique this week...

And lastly, here´s a picture of me packing in all of my shops´ external decoration after a wonderful working day....

The 28th of April was my shops Birthday and this year It celebrated 6 years of existence... I sometimes have to pinch myself to realize that it is true that I have had the wonderful pleasure to open my own , really only my own little boutique with my creations and that I have been able to persist for such a long time... It really does not feel as 6 years because it is like we always say - Time flies when you are having fun!!!
Happy Birthday Dear little Shop of mine!

A hole in the wall with my design... What more can I say... - Thankful so thankful...

I wish you all a happy continuation of May and stay tuned, for more is yet to come in this Spring and Summer Collection 2018 !

Not enough time in this time of the year...

Dear Blog Friends !
I never got the time that I wanted to be able to write in my blog in Easter .. I am so sorry for this and the only excuse I have is that this time of the year means so much work for me , with a new collection taking place in my boutique and all the work around it with pictures, organizing the shop etc, etc... This is a one woman show and sometimes 24 hours a day isn´t enough time to do all that you want... So , so sorry for this...
The week just before easter we made the photoshooting of some of this seasons wrapdresses and coats... I had the pleasure and luck to work with my talented cousin and actress Rebecca Labbé and the pictures were so lovely... Here she is wearing the wrap dress I named Alexandre... A lot of drama in that name and I think in the dress too and Rebecca gave it the perfect expression...
I love the combination of the black mini flowers fabric and the details in red...Don´t you ?
Next dress is the Antoinette wrap dress...

Love this fabric , gives a little mediterranian , chic feeling with all the shades of blue... After this dress we took the pictures of two dresses in the same fabric but different colours... I named the dress Amelie wrap dress... Here in dark blue with lovely flowers...

And here in nude...

So this was the first production of this seasons wrapdresses... A small production of dresses as always made in my atelier in Stockholm... Sustainable all the way as always working with eco fabrics in pure cotton viscose...
That week as every week in my little shop I took some pictures of sweet customers ... I am truly so blessed for all of the unconditional love they show for my work and I never get tired of repeating this...

And my beautiful mother that I have the pleasure to have in my shop every friday as she loves to paint in the ceramic atelier and enjoy some time with my customers and friends...

The week after that it was time to prepare for the next photoshoot with my sweet model Vilma and in between organize a baby shower for my little sister Maureen . She will be a mom in only 2 months and we are all so exited and happy of course....
The first shooting was the Easter outfit I created especially for Easter... A handknitted chunky mohair cardigan with big wooden buttons and a sweet little skirt to match the outfit... This was the result... I hope that you like it !

I think we managed to create a really Eastery feeling in these pictures...Don't you think ?:-)

The next photoshoot was with the long dress / skirt with butterflies and three little cardigans handknitted in chunky mohair I made for these outfits... I worked with pastel colours making every detail by hand in this cardigans...

First out the soft minty colour one...

I named this cardigans BELLE...
And here with the long skirt / dress in a pure cotton fabric and lovely butterlies...

Next one was the Belle cardigan in soft baby pink and the matching little skirt / dress...

And I made the Belle cardigan in baby blue too , but the last outfit you can see here in my window display as I was not ready with the knitting of it when we had the photoshot...

So as you can see  my work in the little studio never stops this time of the year... Ideas never seem to stop and the more I create the more I want to create... It is crazy I know but I love it ...
Last but not least a picture of my sweet clients that friday in the boutique when this last windowdisplay was created...

Ending this blog for now so I can continue writing on sundays as I used to do ... And this sunday I will find the time !!! I promise you !!!

Happy continuation of this week Dear friends!

Winter thoughts and workie...

Dear Blog friends! A new week has gone and suddenly it is the month of march... Here in sweden we are all now ( I think most of all ) longing for spring even though it is snowy as far ones eyes can see, we are all so focused on the new season and the increasing hours of light that we can enjoy of day by day... Staying focused on this gives us hope that we soon will enjoy the embrace of the sun and warmth ...makes living like in a freezer a little more easy...
Somebody once said that your thoughts travel as long as the eye can see but if you dont have the greatest view in front of you  , you only have to close your eyes and imagine the view and we all know that our thoughts will travel anywhere we want to this way too...
As I have written before ,  my home is where I find the greatest inspiration but also in my little studio in the city , I would call it my second home .
The view right now from my Boutique and studio is maybe not so inspiring but this last friday a cute old women sat down on one of my chairs that I have outside. She decided to sit there after a long walk in the snow and the sight I got warmed my heart and made me so happy I forgot how cold and dull the city can be in wintertime... I mean my chairs that I have for decoration gave comfort to a person I do not know and suddenly this person became part of the outside decoration of my boutique...Made me so happy...
Here some pictures from the winter wonderland that we have right now...

And here the a picture I took standing inside of my boutique watching the cute old lady taking a rest on one of the chairs...

This last week I have been working with the design of the new bags for this next spring season to come... I have been making my own designed bags for almost 6 years now as my shop has its 6th anniversay this 28 of April... I work patiently decorating the bags , it is a lot of work  with scissors and glue but it has never crossed my mind to buy ready ones with my logo on.  The hapiness that my customers show me when I pack their goodies in the handmade decorated bags gives me so much joy... They appreciate it so much... Warms my heart...

Sewing on my label on ready garments from my studio has also been a big part of this weeks work...

This week I also managed to finish som new designed aprons with lovely fabrics that both women and men can enjoy in the kitchen or by the barbercue. In our home we have a private chef that is one of my sons and he inaugurated two of the desings I have of aprons this spring...
My sons cooking is very inspiring for me , and our south italian heritage is deep in his heart as he has an incredible passion for Italian cooking... He likes to study new recipes and this year he has promised to himself that he is going to work himself through a whole cookbook. Lucky me !!!

And here some of the new designed aprons...

I hope that you like them... I love them !!!

The window display of this week went in dreamy soft powder pink  and orange tones...The New Cala dress in the middle with tiny , tiny flowers reminding us that soon , very soon we will have spring and until then we can rest our winter tired eyes on lovely happy fabrics and buying a lot of flowers to  have some spring inside our home...

And at last but not least some pictures of sweet moments in my shop this week , ceramic painting and mischievous customers...

With this weeks tulips in my home I wish you all a happy Sunday and the best of weeks...
