Not enough time in this time of the year...

Dear Blog Friends !
I never got the time that I wanted to be able to write in my blog in Easter .. I am so sorry for this and the only excuse I have is that this time of the year means so much work for me , with a new collection taking place in my boutique and all the work around it with pictures, organizing the shop etc, etc... This is a one woman show and sometimes 24 hours a day isn´t enough time to do all that you want... So , so sorry for this...
The week just before easter we made the photoshooting of some of this seasons wrapdresses and coats... I had the pleasure and luck to work with my talented cousin and actress Rebecca Labbé and the pictures were so lovely... Here she is wearing the wrap dress I named Alexandre... A lot of drama in that name and I think in the dress too and Rebecca gave it the perfect expression...
I love the combination of the black mini flowers fabric and the details in red...Don´t you ?
Next dress is the Antoinette wrap dress...

Love this fabric , gives a little mediterranian , chic feeling with all the shades of blue... After this dress we took the pictures of two dresses in the same fabric but different colours... I named the dress Amelie wrap dress... Here in dark blue with lovely flowers...

And here in nude...

So this was the first production of this seasons wrapdresses... A small production of dresses as always made in my atelier in Stockholm... Sustainable all the way as always working with eco fabrics in pure cotton viscose...
That week as every week in my little shop I took some pictures of sweet customers ... I am truly so blessed for all of the unconditional love they show for my work and I never get tired of repeating this...

And my beautiful mother that I have the pleasure to have in my shop every friday as she loves to paint in the ceramic atelier and enjoy some time with my customers and friends...

The week after that it was time to prepare for the next photoshoot with my sweet model Vilma and in between organize a baby shower for my little sister Maureen . She will be a mom in only 2 months and we are all so exited and happy of course....
The first shooting was the Easter outfit I created especially for Easter... A handknitted chunky mohair cardigan with big wooden buttons and a sweet little skirt to match the outfit... This was the result... I hope that you like it !

I think we managed to create a really Eastery feeling in these pictures...Don't you think ?:-)

The next photoshoot was with the long dress / skirt with butterflies and three little cardigans handknitted in chunky mohair I made for these outfits... I worked with pastel colours making every detail by hand in this cardigans...

First out the soft minty colour one...

I named this cardigans BELLE...
And here with the long skirt / dress in a pure cotton fabric and lovely butterlies...

Next one was the Belle cardigan in soft baby pink and the matching little skirt / dress...

And I made the Belle cardigan in baby blue too , but the last outfit you can see here in my window display as I was not ready with the knitting of it when we had the photoshot...

So as you can see  my work in the little studio never stops this time of the year... Ideas never seem to stop and the more I create the more I want to create... It is crazy I know but I love it ...
Last but not least a picture of my sweet clients that friday in the boutique when this last windowdisplay was created...

Ending this blog for now so I can continue writing on sundays as I used to do ... And this sunday I will find the time !!! I promise you !!!

Happy continuation of this week Dear friends!

Love / Andrea Labbé

To Create something out of nothing...

Dear Blog Friends ... Another week has passed and day by day we are slowly getting more daylight ... Although it is in the middle of the winter one can already feel some Spring feelings pouring out ... Friends travel to warmer places to escape a little bit of darkness and cold and hopefully when they come back all the snow will have melted and the sunset will not longer be at 16h as it is now... I love to see how they post all the different places they are going to to reach the sunlight ...Meanwhile here in Stockholm my production of this seasons Spring and summer collection is taking the most of my time and for me that is somehow the happiest place on earth to be in...Take a look at this combination of joy for the eye... A little Amaryllis got a home among the tulips...It was the last one left of this years blooming Amaryllis and it has now been living with a bunch of tulips for almost a week , and they seem to get along really well...
And here My New Inglish Pelargon... Isn´t it lovely ?
For me Shopping flowers and then taking care of them like a baby is a passion... This week has been a week of working with my mayolica ceramics ... Decorating and getting them ready for the burning process in the ceramic oven...
Here the Mayolica big platter ready for the decor part... To create something out of nothing is what I love about my work... This is when I step out of my comfort zone...
When I create, it is like I ,Me, myself does not exist... The only thing that is important at that moment is my work , the process and the result . I do not have to take myself so seriously in that particular moment because it is almost like I am not even there... It is hard to explain the feeling but It is wonderful and my heartrate slows down, making me feel relaxed...
Something that I always try to fit in during the week is my oil painting ...This one is now finished. A painting of Naif Art I have called Alegria... It is spanish and means happiness and the explanation of why I gave it this name is only because I felt such hapiness painting it... And today I am on my way to buy a new canvas for I have already an idea of what I want to paint on my next painting...
My Little boutique is dressed in shades of red and blue this week...
The little Boutique also got some New Arrivals for this Spring... The Allegra Shirt... A shirt made in soft cotton and embroideries and a little skirt I named Lotus... Mixing these two as an outfit was a top match ...
Tomorrow it is time to open my shop again and I am so looking forward to it... Fixing and working with what has now been my studio and boutique for almost 6 years... I wish you all a wonderful continuation of this week and weekend... Kindly / Andrea Labbé
